The Throw the Bums Out Crowd is Killing Us
If you can’t spend more than 30 seconds thinking about it, maybe you should consider not voting

In essentially every election in the last thirty years, a small-but-decisive number of Americans has simply marched into the polls and said, “I’m big mad at the direction this country is heading and I say, throw the bums out.”
In 2004, 9/11 and Karl Rove managed to delay this effect *slightly*, but it still came thundering through in ’06 and ’08. Trump rode this idiotic “backlash” against Obama… being Black and giving us healthcare, to victory in 2016, but then 2020 and 2024 we jumped back and forth again.
Partisan attitudes are calcified and the media are corrupt, lazy, and complicit so all our elections are razor thin these days. We pretend that fundraising, platforms, endorsements, character and debates matter. Unfortunately, it is starting to seem like they do not. If any of these things mattered, Trump would have never been president, and certainly not twice.
In the election last year, the Republican state parties in AZ, NV, and MI were in total disarray. The GOP candidate was a convicted felon and an adjudicated rapist with hundreds of millions of dollars in fines pending. Inflation and prices were falling and employment and GDP…
